The Rainbow Centre aims to support voluntary and community organisations within Harlow via a range of infrastructure support services and practical facilities.

Rainbow Services are affiliate members of NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary & Community Action www.navca.org.uk) and therefore support their five key functions:

  • Development - looking at local need and working with others to develop approriate action
  • Liaison - assisting cross-sector relationships as well as helping to forge links between voluntary and community organistions
  • Representation - enabling voluntary and community organisations to present views and opinions to statutory bodies via consultation, networking etc
  • Services - providing affordable and accessible facilities, support with seeking and securing funding - visit FAIR Project plus sharing information and co-ordinating Harlow Voluntary Sector Forum
  • Strategic Partnership - working with Harlow 2020 (Local Strategic Partnership to help develop partnership working between voluntary and statutory sectors at a strategic level

Services provided within the Rainbow Centre include;

  • Meeting room space for hire - capacity for up to 6 people
  • Hot desk space for hire on a regular or one-off basis stocked with publications, fact sheets and access to the internet
  • Paper based resources such as photocopying, laminating

  • We have registered as an umbrella body with the Criminal Records Bureau and are able to offer this service to any organisation requiring a staff or volunteer to be CRB checked.
